Angus’s Tanzania Odyssey Day 19 – Zanzibar
The next day was a pleasure as I had no-one dragging me out of my room at an un-godly hour! After a lovely breakfast, I packed my bag, bade my farewells and set off down the beach to Baraza. A mixture of the midday sun and a heavy rucksack had me sweltering on arrival. I think the majority of their guests enter thorough the front door which confused everyone as a scruffy, sweaty Englishman emerged from the beach and announced his arrival.
Once the confusion cleared, I was ushered into an immaculate banda with every luxury I could want. It really was quite something. The food was lovely and so were the rooms.
I was shown their two sister properties whilst I was there. The Palms being an extremely luxurious and private honeymoon lodge and Breezers was a large family-friendly resort.
