CHOBE CHILWERO
Chobe
Chobe Chilwero: Our ViewFor those of us wanting the same luxurious accommodation in Chobe, you need look no further than Chilwero. Great views, great service and absolutely stunning rooms make this a fantastic choice however this camp is not for the authentic safari lover! Great value in low season - 1st jan to 30th June and after 01st Nov, but very pricey in the peak months. Chobe Chilwero is a brilliant choice for those wanting opulence but it is very expensive. There are other better value lodges nearby that offer great value for money. For this reason we give it 3 paws. Chobe Chilwero: Fast Facts$1,055 per person per night (high season)
Chobe Chilwero: The DetailSaid to be one of the most enchanting places on earth, the location of this lodge is unparalleled in the Kasane area; the views are breathtaking. Your stay is in the most luxurious thatched cottages set in private gardens each with its own sundowner veranda looking out over the river below. The rooms are stunning with huge beds, inside and outside showers and vast sunken handcrafted baths that literally take half an hour to fill (and can fit two people side by side!). Silver service and a la carte gourmet dinners are just a taste of the standards this lodge aspires to. The wine menu, obviously hugely South African is one of the best in the country and is equally matched by the quality of the food, the standards of service and the genuine friendliness of the staff. This opulent luxury is what Chobe Chilwero is all about and for this reason, the lodge is a luxury retreat rather than an authentic safari lodge. The safari itself is scheduled to the requirements of the guests, giving the option of a morning or afternoon on the river itself or a game drive with excellent guides deep into the National Park. The chance to see Africa’s largest concentration of elephants is a major attraction to the area (and can often be done from camp) but the water life is exceptional with large numbers of hippos and buffalos constantly crossing the river in front of boats and birds burrowing into the banks themselves. Game drives into Chobe itself reveal the predators, especially lion, hunting the antelope and defending their lands. You may also likeChobe
An old favorite of ours…and such a great value lodge! Muchenje has the best views of any Chobe Lodge and we love the fact that it is a privately owned lodge that is located away from the crowds that Chobe National Park has become unfortunately so famous for!

The unbeatable aspect of this camp is its location. You can’t get any better. It is within view of the Savute marsh, the heart of the area and offers an awesome game experience.

Kwetsani is a magnificent camp, set high up in the trees on an island that looks over the Northern plains of the Jao flats. We really like this camp as it is extremely spacious, has stunning views and great balance between activities.
