Linyanti
Kings Pool: Our ViewWilderness Safaris Kings Pool Camp is the flagship lodge in the company’s Linyanti Reserve. Set around a beautiful small lake that runs off the main channel, Kings Pool is one of the most attractive camps in the country. With private plunge pools, four poster beds and some the best dining in the country, Kings Pool sets the standard for Botswana’s Premier Camps; luxury is certainly at the forefront here, a factor reflected in the high prices. The reserve is also well regarded as housing one of the highest predator concentrations anywhere meaning that the high prices guarantees great game viewing. In summary a fantastic super luxury camp - albeit an expensive one ! Kings Pool deserves a solid 5 paw rating. it ticks every box and offers a fantastic edge to a typical delta itinerary. Kings Pool: Fast Facts$1,799 per person per night (high season)
Kings Pool: The DetailThe accommodation is in 9 huge taught canvas tents with thatched roofs raised on wooden platforms, complete with your own private plunge pools. The rooms themselves have huge four poster beds, draped with mosquito netting and covered with soft linen. Lavish en suite bathrooms have his and hers basins, outdoor showers and, as if one is not enough, there are two more indoor showers to choose from! The large decking area outside each room looks directly onto the lagoon and comes complete with a plunge pool, sun-loungers and a sala for catching a snooze before your afternoon safari. The lounge, dining area (food here is simply fantastic) and bar area face out over a wide expanse of decking onto the hippo filled lagoon below. Each night everyone comes together at the fire, chatting until dinner is served. We highly recommend returning to bed early to appreciate the sky at night from the comfort of your outside sala or private pool in summer! Activities include day and night game drives and walks, while boat cruises along the Linyanti River (water level dependant) offer spectacular viewing. The reed and papyrus swamps are ideal for numerous and diverse species of birds and are a magnet for game in the dry winter months.
