Egypt
We are still researching Egypt below is some general information.

Egypt is famous for inhabiting one of the most ancient civilizations in the history of mankind. People have visited Egypt for thousands of years to discover the wonders of the pyramids at Giza and the many lavish funerary monuments.

Cairo, the capital of Egypt is a cultural melting pot and is the greatest North African city. Cairo has all the trademarks of any other North African city, a hectic atmosphere, colourful spice markets, majestic mosques and an endless stream of bazaars. However, the most impressive attraction is most certainly the Museum of Egyptian Antiquites.

The stretch of Red Sea coastline attracts many visitors and is home to world renowned beach destinations, such as Sharm El Sheikh, which benefit from excellent diving. This area has a high standard of hotels, but can be overcrowded (especially with German tourists!) The area has also recently suffered from a succession of shark attacks.

Central Egypt is home to Luxor and the Valleys of the Kings attracting many visitors all year. This is due to the vast array of ancient tombs and temples in the area.

Further to the South of Egypt is arguably the most beautiful town in Egypt, Aswan, home to the Temple of Philae, the Aga Khan’s mausoleum and the Monastery of San Simeon. The town is renowned for its Nubian cultural influences.
