Seychelles Honeymoons
Unspoilt islands, white sand beaches, warm and sparkling seas and inspiring creole culture; the Seychelles is a natural honeymoon location with plenty to explore and discover, so that your beach island adventure can take in a few different locations. We believe our very best honeymoon itineraries combine Seychelles beach time with some fabulous African wildlife; Seychelles beaches are easily combined with Nairobi, or slightly less easily with Dar es Salaam.
We tend to recommend that you spend some time on one of the main islands, either Praslin - for rainforest and coco de mer and access to La Digue, or Mahe, with its sumptuous luxury suite style hotels, such as the Banyan Tree or Maia.
The second phase of the honeymoon we recommend discovering the very exclusive delights of the private island lodges such as Denis, Desroches, Fregate, or if budget permits the Royal Honeymoon location - North island.
There is such a range of landscapes and experiences in the Seychelles, from the elegance of the granitic islands, with their distinctive rock formations rising from a crystal sea, to the impressive drama of the volcanic islands, and the remote appeal of the outer islands. Combinations of these make for diverse and memorably superb beach itineraries.
Best of the SeychellesWhen the Banyan Tree first opened it was one of a kind, huge private suites complete with a private pool, terrace and gardens. In fact you rarely needed to leave your room. Set on a heavenly and private beach its only drawback is the price and the fact that in our summer months the main beach can be dangerous to swim off.
Maia was built just after the Banyan and offers a very similar experience to the Banyan Tree. Huge suite rooms with private pools, and a lovely location on Mahe.
The latest private island lodge to open in the Seychelles, and at a price that eclipses even Fregate. This is the top location in the Seychelles, though very deep pockets are needed to stay there
Des Roches is a wonderful private island, a great simple lodge with diving and water sports. Des Roches and Denis are very similarly priced and similar islands. The joy of these lodges is that within a 10 minute cycle ride you can find completely deserted beaches.
Fregate island used to be the jewel of the Seychelles – the ultimate private island lodge with boundless nature all around. The rooms are staggering and its beaches are some of the best in the Seychelles
Cousine Island is a great 4 room hotel on a private island. There is a great beach in front of the hotel and nature walks through the forested interior are very interesting. Guided nature walks and snorkeling are readily available, the conservation guide will take you on a journey through Cousine Island’s past. For the more adventurous at heart there is also a range of diving, fishing and day excursions on offer.
