It is currently possible to get them on arrival for $50 cash, presuming you are US or EU citizens and providing your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your departure from Kenya and has at least 4 unused consecutive blank pages.

If you wish to get them in advance the Kenya High Commission is at 45 Portland Place W1N 4AN - Tel 020 7636 2371 - in London).  They are usually issued within 72 hours and require 1 passport photograph and payment of £35. 
 
Please note that if you are taking a safari to the north of Tanzania you will probably be flying into Nairobi international airport and out of Wilson airport in Nairobi for Arusha.  These are separate airports and you will need to enter the country (and thus get a visa) to get to Wilson.

You will be asked to show it on arrival.  Mozambique also require a Yellow Fever certificate to be produced on arrival
 
Malaria
Malaria is endemic throughout these areas.  There are a number of prophylactics available and be sure to obtain one from your physician and follow his directions.  If, despite taking recommended drugs, you feel unwell and feverish, seek medical advice as soon as possible.  If you are already in the UK, please do not forget to mention that you have been in a Malaria Zone.
 
Other
We do recommend that you consult your doctor about other recommended injections, normally the advice is that Typhoid and Hepatitis injections should be taken.  The BA travel clinic (0207 4399584) or Trailfinders (0207 9383999) can provide advice about these requirements.

We advise you carry heavy objects (cameras, books etc.) as hand luggage.  Please would you also take your luggage in soft bags rather than rigid suitcases (ie a kit bag or soft sided suitcase  rather than a hard sided suitcase, and one without wheels or handles).

We do not sell insurance though an insurance company that we recommend in the UK is the Travel & General Insurance Company plc - 0845 4080 580 – www.travel-general.com.
 
Most importantly their Elite policy covers you for up to £5,000 per person for abandonment which is the cover which kicks in in the event of snow / strikes, and other issues that may prevent you from taking your holiday as planned

There entry point to Kenya is Nairobi.  There are many airlines that fly to Nairobi – BA, Virgin and Kenyan are direct and daily.  KLM, Emirates etc are indirect and also daily.   Read more

From the USA
It is best to route through London or Amsterdam, connecting with either the British Airways flight to Dar es Salaam or KLM through Amsterdam.
