Alfajiri Villas: The DetailRaising the bar with its levels of service and the spectacular views from all of the rooms, this group of 3 luxury villas have all been decorated in an eclectic fusion of styles. Located on the northern area of Diani Beach, the villas benefit from a quieter beach and, due to their location, the utmost in seclusion. African Style villas where the theme is high Makuti roofs, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern Artefacts. Most of the furniture is made on the property in the villa’s workshop. They range in size from the Cliff Villa which sleeps 8 with exclusive use of an infinity pool and unlimited use of the local, international standard golf course, to the Garden and Beach Villas which sleep 4 and 8 respectively and have private access to the beach. The beach at Diani, whilst busy these days, is still possibly the best along the coast and runs for miles. The House is a short walk to the famous bar and restaurant combination of the Forty Thieves and Ali Baba’s, and would suit a family or couple.

This hotel is a very good choice for those with a family or couples who like to be active while on holiday. Being relatively small compared to the goliaths around Mombasa, this hotel has really cornered the resort style hotel market and is also a must visit spot for the big game fishermen between August and April. All in all, it may not be quite suited to the quieter tastes of honeymooners, but the food and the surroundings certainly make it stand out.
