THE PALACINA
Nairobi
The Palacina: Our ViewWith a proliferation of business and luxury lodges dotted in and around Nairobi, it can be a little tricky to choose the best of them. We have been going out to East Africa for the last 12 years and have, either routing through to the safari lodges or on to the beaches, spent many a night trying them all out….and have found The Palacina to be the best of them! Stunning little hotel with a great restaurant and rooms….at this price it is certainly the pick of the bunch. Our favourite place to stay in Nairobi as it is reasonably priced, a boutique hotel and they provide free airport transfers, for that reason we give it 5 paws The Palacina: Fast Facts$220 per person per night (high season)
The Palacina: The DetailPalacina features 14 Luxury hotel suites including 2 stunning penthouse suites. The Palacina: Client Reviews
The Palacina was a wonderful entrance to the beginning of this magical adventure. The service was beyond words. We purchased some larger items while we were there. Brought them back to Palacina with us and they stored them for us. When we returned from Stone Town, one of their employees was at the airport with these items so we could check them home. That is service.

This itself contains 5 rooms and has the feel of an English country house, but instead of peacocks, it is rangy giraffe that mow the lawn. If giraffes are your thing and you would like to share breakfast with one then this is the ideal spot!

Each of the rooms has been beautifully constructed and looked after over the years. As with the other hotels in the area, this is a great place to relax for a couple of nights while exploring the sights around Nairobi. Great rooms, it does however lack from having no pool.

This is a good hotel to stay in for the centre of town although can get very booked up should there be a conference in town and suffers slightly from a smallish, overlooked pool. |
