KULALA WILDERNESS CAMP
Sossusvlei
Kulala Wilderness Camp: Our ViewKulala Wilderness Camp is a ten-roomed camp owned by Wilderness Safaris and run as part of their mid market Wilderness Adventure brand. Situated in the heart of Namibia’s Namib Desert, on a 21,000-hectare private reserve near Sossusvlei Kulala Wilderness Camp is our first choice for the more economical lodges that Wilderness Safaris run in the area. Its a nioce camp but one that cannot be compared to the likes of Little Kulala or &beyond's Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. The camp is built at the foot of a rock escarpment with all rooms raised on stilts and facing west to make the most of stunning sunset views. The famous Sossusvlei dunes are within an hours drive and overall the lodge location makes the most of the area. A great choice for people wanting the reassurance of the Wilderness Safaris brand but not wanting to pay the high costs of Little Kulala or &beyond Sossusvlei Desert lodge. Good location and an adventurous style that caters well for the mid market mean we give Kulala Wilderness Camp 4 paws but urge clients to be cautious if expecting the usual Wilderness safaris level of accommodation. Kulala Wilderness Camp: Fast Facts$510 per person per night (high season)

Kulala Desert Lodge is the most economical option of the Wilderness Safaris properties in the Sossusvlei area. With 14 rooms and great views over the dunes, the lodge is larger than the other options Wilderness have in Sossusvlei but the value on offer is undeniable considering the overall quality of Wilderness safaris operations.
Sossusvlei
Little Kulala is Wilderness Safaris flagship lodge in Sossusvlei. Located only 45 minutes drive from the Sossusvlei Dunes themselves, Little Kulala has the best location of all the dune camps and is unquestionably the most luxurious of all the camps in Sossusvlei.
Etosha
Ongava Game lodge is the largest of Wilderness Safaris lodges in Etosha and ultimately are least favourite. As much as we appreciate the quality of the operational side of this lodge we don’t see the point of spending the same amount here as at Ongava Tented Lodge but getting what we believe is a far less quality experience. |
