Probably the most beautiful lodge in Africa. Fabulous food, excellent service, warm friendly hosts. We enjoyed the safari(s) particularly the walking safari. Lots of hippos

That was without doubt one of the best holidays of our lives. You got all our bookings and connections etc spot on and I almost wish I could see you to thank you. A bush night at beho beho should be on everyones list of things to do before you die. We can't thank you enough . Such a fantastic trip.

Beho Beho was absolute tops. The staff are incredible and how they train all those animals to turn up and entertain on quoi Disneyesque.

4 nights at Beho Beho. Not much to say really. Paradise. Truly incredible staff. Exceptional food. Ours was the room with the bath under the stars. Wild dogs on the airstrip. Missed a black rhino by 3 days. Hot springs at Tagalala. I would go back in a heartbeat...if I could afford it!.

Beho Beho  was absolutely fantastic. There was nothing to fault.  The accommodation, service, guiding and game were all superb.  It was the highlight of our trip and we loved room 5.  Cheryl was the talking point amongst the guests!

It is hard to explain to someone who hasn't been on a safari as to how nice the accommodations and service are when you go on a trip like this, especially when you live in the Midwest USA where most have and never will even visit Africa.  Beho Beho has to be one of the most luxurious and unique places we will ever stay.  The layout of the resort, the staff and the people we met that were also guests were enjoyable and each day had a unique set of events that made it special.  Our guide, Onesma, was fun to hang out with and we recommend the half-day hike if you have the athletic ability to walk ten miles or more.  You get an entirely different perspective hiking versus riding in a vehicle all day.  For the days we spent in our range rover, we viewed a leopard, several lions and came up on an impala that had just given birth.  One day when we visited where the crocodiles were they even had a nice breakfast set up right by the lake.  We were impressed with the creativity and the little things this resort did to make us feel special and our room was one of the neatest set-ups for a resort we could ever imagine.  The other thing we didn't expect but was very helpful was that our guide was also the equivalent of a professional photographer.  He knew how to use our camera better than we did, so we got several amazing pictures that we turned into a slide show we posted on snapfish for our friends to see.  Our plan someday is to re-visit this camp and bring our children as we think the educational value alone for them would be worth the trip.  Our perspective on the world and the "animal kingdom" is forever changed after our honeymoon to Africa, but the Beho Beho resort was definitely our most enjoyable spot during our trip which was an already high benchmark to beat.

We then went to Beho Beho for 4 nights, which was the right order to experience the two camps/lodges. It was a fantastic place, as you had told us it would be, with excellent guides and staff and food and accomodation. We met the owner, Charley, as well, who is a most gregarious individual. The hiking safari provided an adrenaline rush for all of us when a young bull elephant was surprised by us as he came around a bush. Other than the discovery of poaching of elephants that occurred right before we left, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Beho, Beho in the Selous in Tanzania offered a different animal viewing experience. Here we could go on a walking safari which we couldn’t do at Mombo. And here we saw lions mating while having sundowners. Honestly, what more could one ask for? The rooms were glorious - first time I’ve slept in a room with just three walls. The fourth was open (but protected by an invisible fence) with a view of beautiful hills and a valley. The lodge was also open on one side and gorgeous. At night people dressed up a bit more here than anywhere else we stayed. And as in Mombo it was lovely to have some of the staff eat with the guests. And a man made water hole allowed us to view some animals as they came to drink and we ate. One morning we had a full delicious breakfast for two by Lake Tagalala and then the two of us went on the lake where we saw lots of crocodiles, birds, hippos, and more. Divine.

Beho Beho was as expected wonderful.  I have just submitted a review to TripAdvisor about it. The location, bandas, staff, food  etc were excellent. We particularly liked the communal dining with the guides and fellow guests, which led to some lively discussions. I gather that Cheryl Cole opted out of that when she was staying there. It will be interesting to see how the single exclusive banda being constructed which will offer the services of a personal butler, chef and guide will alter the dynamic of the camp.

Three young male lions who have moved into the Beho Beho area recently who killed a buffalo not far from camp. We saw one of them who had climbed a tree to rest after the kill, whilst another wandered about 50 yards in front of our banda the next day.

We were just amazed at the large herds of buffalo, zebra, impala moving towards Lake Manze for water.
I think that the only significant animal we did not see were leopard and rhino. We were lucky to see wild dogs with cubs on our first day. The Hippo pool is disgusting (to a microbiologist) but amazing. I took over 600 photos during the four nights there.
The safari on foot in the bush in front of Beho Beho was scary knowing that there were elephants/lions in there.

Beho Beho Bailey’s Banda was a perfect start for our first ever safari. It is very special (in a league of its own in fact) and we were welcomed and looked after better than we could have imagined. The staff treated us like family and could not have done more. We became very fond of them all. The safari experience was just incredible and we so enjoyed the amazing variety of landscapes within easy reach of the lodge and the huge amount of wildlife up close. The guides were amazing and all of the little surprises organized just for us were thoroughly appreciated. We loved it.

I am really not sure I can do this place or the people justice, but I will try.  In a nutshell, I was really sad to leave.I really cannot say enough about how amazing Beho Beho is.  It was 1000% the best decision to go to the Selous and stay at Beho Beho. They probably tired of us saying how nice it was to be outdoors, but after spending the summer in Qatar where it's truly miserable to be outside, it felt glorious.

5/5 with additional ++.  What can we say that has likely not already been said about Beho Beho. Plain and simple, it is a dream.  For the first 2 days were were the only guests at the camp and were treated to a truly intimate experience. We loved having dinners with the guides (Mike, Samig'o, Godlisten, Idrissa, and Heribert) and having the opportunity to get to know more about them. By the end of the 5 days it felt like we were part of their family.  The game drives/walks were exceptional as all of the guides are not only knowledgeable, but also friendly, funny and engaged. We were very fortunate to see almost everything there is to see - including a thrilling ride following the wild dogs. The camp facilities are something out of a magazine. The pictures actually do not do in justice, which is rarely the case. And the staff and chefs were outstanding. We could not believe the quality of the food we were receiving - particularly when we were alone at the camp. The service and quality was better than Michelin starred restaurants I have been to. I could go on and on, but the the first statement sums it up - a dream. I have never been chocked up leaving a hotel, but there were tears leaving the Beho Beho family.
