Essque Zalu Zanzibar: The DetailLocated on Zanzibar’s Northern tip approximately one hours drive from Stone Town and Zanzibar airport, Essque Zanzibar is located very close to Nungwi village, between the village and Ras Nungwi hotel The lodge has an imposing thatched main area that opens out towards the vast swimming pool and gardens that surround the property. The rooms are split on either side of the main area with the pool running directly down to a large jetty which houses a pretty bar and lounge area. Essque Zalu Zanzibar has 40 main suites, as well as 9 villas with either 3 or 4 rooms in each. The main suites are split between Ocean Front, Sea View and Garden View and all have different prices. They come complete with spacious bedrooms, flat screen TV’s as well as a lounge area and outside balcony. The 9 villas are all similar to the main suites inside but all have their own private pools as well as in room dining and massage, kitchen facilities and terrace or balcony. One of the only hotels on Zanzibar with a kids club, and many facilities that you would expect from a good boutique hotel, such as a spa and gym and others that you wouldn’t such as an art gallery You may also likeZanzibar, North Coast
One of our favourite hotels on Zanzibar and one of the best along the East African coast. The beach here is the best on Zanzibar and unlike much of the east coast, is free of hawkers and general hustlers. Nungwi village just down the coast is a great place to go out and have a few drinks or a bite of lunch.
