The hotel maintains the high standards set by the other hotels in the Serena chain and this is certainly a very good option for people who do not mind sharing the view. All in all this is a good hotel despite the crowds and the best option on the Crater rim after the Ngorongoro Crater lodge. There is a 2 night minimum stay at the Ngorongoro Serena. Not the most beautiful hotel but you stay here for the views! Ngorongoro Serena: The DetailThis unique lodge clings to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the largest and most perfect volcanic crater on earth. Long and low, the lodge is built from local river stone and camouflaged with indigenous vines. Designed to blend completely into the landscape, it is entirely invisible from the floor of the Crater 600 metres below. The 75 rooms of the Ngorongoro Crater Serena are laid out on two levels in long lines along the crater rim, making it feel much bigger than the other Tanzanian Serena properties. The whole hotel is well decorated with hand-painted cave-type illustrations and styled throughout. This is a beautiful hotel that has a very personal feel to it (as good as a big hotel can go) and a great location in the park. It has the edge on other hotels of its size, as the small huts allow for a real sense of privacy and feeling of being out in the bush.

Dunia is a great 8 tent mobile camp in the central Serengeti, Seronera area. Great value compared to some of its neighbours and ideal if you are looking for an intimate safari experience in this game rich area compared with some of the larger permanent hotels near by. Fantastic for the Migration December though to July.
