SAYARI CAMP
Serengeti
Sayari Camp: Our ViewWithout doubt one of the best locations in the Serengeti and a superb luxury tented camp. Guiding here is excellent, food and service are also set very high but it is the location that makes this place one of Tanzania’s best camps. The Lamai Wedge/Northern Serengeti is very private due to it being very difficult to access by vehicle. The Kenyan masses cannot cross the border and the Serengeti Seronera crowds cannot make it up in one day. Therefore this is THE best and most private area to view the Migration – August to October are absolutely perfect for optimising river crossings. A lovely camp and definitely up there with the best, but a bit too pricey for our liking. You get just as good value for much cheaper at its sister, mobile camp, Olakira which is also in a better location on the river. Sayari gets a good 4 paws. Sayari Camp: The DetailSayari Camp is located in the Kogatende area of the Northern Serengeti. The camp is about a 10 minute game drive from the airstrip and Kogatende is about a 2 hour flight from Arusha, depending on the route of the flight. Sayari is Swahili for universe or planet, capturing the vast plains and endless skies in which the camp is immersed. Situated just back from the Mara River in the Serengeti, the camp was designed to strike the perfect balance between luxury and immersion in theSerengeti. Far away from any other sign of human life, the Sayari Camp staff ensures that every guest feels at home in this remote location. Equipped with two dining areas, lounges and communal campfire places -this doubles the privacy of the camp and completes the perfect bush setting. Sayari Camp's talented cooks offer guests a fusion of European cuisine with authentic African elements. The camp's guides offer a wealth of knowledge on the beautiful surrounding land and its inhabitants. Fifteen spacious, house-like tents, raised up on platforms, with wooden floors, en suite bathrooms, free standing baths, with a king size bed and a private verandah with views of the Serengeti. From the tent attendant to the camp manager, the staff at Sayari will make sure that your visit is an unforgettable one, sharing their knowledge and their love of the Serengeti. The range of activities available, from bird watching to the famed river crossings - if you are lucky, will ensure that you have plenty of memories from your stay. With river crossings and walking safaris, this area is difficult to beat. There are walking safaris available for an extra cost and game driving in open sided vehicles. Sayari Camp: Client ReviewsSayari was beautifully run and we had an excellent guide and delicious food, absolutely loved those plains and the river. We saw masses of game and plenty of action and those wonderful wide open spaces really restored the spirit, definitely what I go to Africa for. Sarah Legge 2012 Sayari was the hit of the trip, and I wish we had stayed there an extra night. Sandy Brown 2011 Everything was terrific: the game drives, the wildebeest crossing the river, the accommodation at Sayari Camp, the hospitality of Joe, Barbara and Ken and their team, our driver ("Prim"). Even the weather was perfect (warm days and rain showers in the evenings). Edgar A. Frechette 2009 Sayari was fantastic too- but maybe feels a bit new still... it needs time to bed in - the safari experience was great getting into also sorts of areas and seeing a migration across the Mara river one day - a brutal never to be forgotten experience- Melissa and David Foster 2009 Show me more > Click here to see all reviews and testimonials You may also likeNgorongoro Crater

Serengeti, Mobile
Alex Walker’s Serengeti Serian Camps are a mobile camp outfit similar in style to Nomad Tanzania’s Serengeti Safari Camp. With Alex you can find yourself immersed in the African plains, waking early to witness the sunrise, walking amongst the giant herds taking note of even the tiniest of absorbing sights, smells and sounds!
Northern Serengeti
Nomad Tanzania is one of our favourite operators to use and they always perform to an expected level and in most cases exceed expectations. There is no doubt that Lamai Serengeti will be THE camp to go to in the Northern Serengeti.
