Tarangire
Swala: Our ViewSwala is up there as one of the best camps in Tarangire National Park. Run by Sanctuary lodges (part owned by Abercrombie and Kent) Swala is the most luxurious outfit in the park offering a service of the highest quality. The camp location bears well for great game viewing and a perfect place to begin walks. Olivers Camp, its competitor round the corner, is a completely different style of camp which has a very adventurous feel to it, whereas Swala is the more luxurious style camp. Both are of the same, high quality standard in their respective categories. Swala gets a 4 paw rating. It is located in the same area as Olivers and therefore offers the best game viewing in the park. It is also a stunning little camp, shoes recent refurbishment has meant it is competition to anywhere in the area. Swala: Fast Facts$795 per person per night (high season)
Swala: The DetailSwala is located in the Gurusi wetlands in the Tarangire National Park in North of Tanzania. The Lodge can be accessed by light aircraft or vehicle and works well with a Northern Tanzania Safari. The Lodge is nestled in a remote pocket of Tarangire National Park with good access to water meaning that the Elephant viewing is very good. Swala's nine private, permanent tents feature en-suite bathrooms with showers, complemented by fittings and fixtures crafted from local materials to mirror the understated elegance of the time-honored safari style. The elevated terraces on the tents are appointed towards the waterhole that attracts wildlife year-round to ensure that your African wildlife experiences do not finish when you leave your vehicle. Throughout your stay, you will be serenaded by the resident wildlife, including impala (after which the camp is named), waterbuck, lion and various elephant groups. There is even a resident leopard that puts in the occasional guest appearance at the waterhole during dinner. At Swala you are able to game drive in shared open sided vehicles, night drive and walk safari within the National Park. You may also likeSerengeti, Mobile
