Xanadu

Situaed on the South East Coast of Zanzibar's idyllic Indian Ocean Coastline, Xanadu is the latest addition to the luxury villa portfolio on the island. It has been designed in a very unique way with beautiful views and an emphasis on privacy and luxury.

Xanadu - The Details

Xanadu is on the South East Coast of Zanzibar, just a short 20 minute flight from the Capital, Dar es Salaam and set right on a private, palm fringed beach.

There are just 6 super luxury 1 and 2 bedroom villas, each very unique in design with different character but each also with elements of traditional Zanzibari architecture. Each villa has a lounge area, bedroom and outside area with a private plunge pool. There is no set dining room and guests can choose to dine in their villa or around the main pool or bar area.

The beach is private and beautiful, although tidal so is better at certain times of day. All activities can be organised from Xanadu, Stone Town is roughly a one hour drive away, you can snorkel off of the beach and can organise diving excursions through their partner dive centre.

We then moved to Baraza – this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Amazing. The villas are GIGANTIC and beautifully furnished – with our own plunge pool and reserved beds on the beach. The beach service was excellent and the restaurant lovely. The pool area was great and selection of water sports excellent. I really couldn’t fault it. They gave us some vouchers to enjoy some of the different facilities including the spa and water sports which was a lovely touch.
