CHICHELE PRESIDENTIAL LODGE
South Luangwa
Chichele Presidential Lodge: Our ViewWe struggle with Chichele simply due to the fact that the South Luangwa is known for its privately run camps, or small un-commercial companies. Sanctuary lodges is owned by A&K and so certainly goes against the grain for what makes the Luangwa so famous. However, having said all that, the quality of the lodge is as to be expected from Sanctuary lodges and the game viewing area is good. Ultimately we would recommend Chichele to older clients, wanting an A&K approach to safari as opposed to the bush camp approach of the other Luangwa companies. Chichele receives a 3 paw rating simply due to the fact that the hotel does not fit in with the character of safari that Zambian is famous for. Small, owner run camps this place certainly is not...but for clients wanting a luxurious hotel, it is perfect! Chichele Presidential Lodge: Fast Facts$820 per person per night (high season)

Kapani is certainly one of the best lodges in the Mfuwe area of the South Luangwa. Built as a permanent lodge rather than a bush camp, Kapani is a great introduction to the Luangw.
