STANLEYS

Livingstone and Victoria Falls

Stanleys: Our View

Unique due to the fact that it is the only lodge in Livingstone that has a view of the actual Falls, Stanley Safari Lodge lacks the atmosphere of other lodges in the area simply due to the fact that it is not on the water. In a nutshell, the Zambezi is the reason to come to this area, and when staying at Stanley Safari Lodge you are absolutely miles from it! It is fairly good value and does have somewhat of a similar design to Tongabezi however the location puts the nail in the coffin and for that reason alone we recommend elsewhere.

Stanleys: The Detail

Set on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and overlooking unspoilt bush, Stanley Safari Lodge is only 3km from the Victoria Falls. The views are splendid: the spray of the Falls in the distance, the mighty Zambezi river and on top of that yet another beautiful African sunset. From either our main garden, our infinity pool or from the privacy of your room, views are unmatched.

The open-sided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind and has a deep African feel. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, a 3 course dinner in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa.

Each and every cottage is individually designed. But Stanley Safari Lodge’s selling point is the open design of many of the rooms: the ‘optimal way to experience the real Africa’ apparently.

Livingstone and Victoria Falls
Overall the Royal Livingstone is a remarkably nice but large hotel with great food, great pool and good service. The location is the closest location to the Falls and with Zebra literally walking around the swimming pool there is something really special about this hotel.
Livingstone and Victoria Falls
Wilderness Safaris new property at the Falls is one of the best value properties in the whole area. Cheaper by over one hundred dollars a night than the nearby Wilderness Safaris owned River Club, we believe Toka Leya is an utter bargain.
Livingstone and Victoria Falls
The River Club is in our view the finest property at Victoria Falls. Quite an honour considering the quality of the competition! What really sets this place apart from all its competitors is not so much the quality of the rooms but the character and atmosphere in camp.
