Musango is a unique safari camp full of character and situated on its very own private island on Lake Kariba, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park. Located on the Zambezi River, Lake Kariba is one of the worlds greatest man-made lakes; Matusadona National Park lies on its southern shore with an abundance of flora and fauna in a striking and diverse terrain. Matusadona is an incredible game viewing park, with an abundance of lions and some of the last wild black rhino in Africa.

Musango: The Detail



Located on the Zambezi River, Lake Kariba is one of the worlds greatest man-made lakes; Matusadona National Park lies on its southern shore with an abundance of flora and fauna in a striking and diverse terrain.
The Lake offers a unique opportunity for your safari to take to the water and enjoy game viewing by boat or canoe. Kariba has some of Africas best fresh water sport fishing and bird watching whilst allowing you to simultaneously admire some of Africas most beautiful wild life.
Matusadona is one of the last wild sanctuaries of the endangered Black Rhino and is considered to have the highest natural population density of lions in Africa. The park is bounded on the east by the dramatic Sanyati Gorge and the west by the Umi River with the rugged mountains of the Zambezi escarpment providing an impressive backdrop. Matusadona is ideal walking safari territory and boasts some of the regions finest safari lodges and bush camps - the area is worth visiting year round.

Lake Kariba
Visitors to Lake Kariba are usually attracted by the exceptional fishing or the renowned game viewing of the Matusadona National Park on the shore. The unique, elevated situation of Bumi Hills provides guests with stunning views of this vast lake and all the comforts expected of a safari lodge. However, if you're after a more rustic and traditional safari experience Musango would be more suitable.
Hwange
The highlights here are the large open plains and the fantastic views of the nearby watering hole. This lodge has a unique feel and Wilderness has done well with the up keep of the camp. The country's economic and political difficulties seem to be a distant reality while at Makalolo.
Mana Pools
Ruckomechi is a naturalists paradise. The camp is environmentally friendly wherever possible, without compromising on luxury, and is set on the banks of the majestic Zambeze river.
