The Hide: The DetailSituated on the eastern boundary of Hwange National Park, The Hide is one of the few camps in the park itself. It also benefits from providing walking and night-driving in its private, six square km concession area, which has superb wildlife, especially during the dry season, from September to October. The tents are large tents under thatch, all overlooking the main waterhole.The spacious bedroom areas are each individually furnished with solid Zimbabwe teak furniture, and there are now two fabulous deluxe suites with an extra twin bedded room alongside. There will soon be a spa to complement the pool and teak decking area. Meals are served either communally or at private tables, according to your whim, and breakfast is served al fresco, under the Acacia trees. You may also likeHwange
The highlights here are the large open plains and the fantastic views of the nearby watering hole. This lodge has a unique feel and Wilderness has done well with the up keep of the camp. The country's economic and political difficulties seem to be a distant reality while at Makalolo.
Hwange
This camp is rather rustic and lacks many of the mod cons. The water hole is a hive of game activity which most of the tents overlook. There are few camps that you can watch such an abundance of game right from your tent veranda.

Musango is a unique safari camp full of character and situated on its very own private island on Lake Kariba, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park. |
