Chitwa Chitwa is located in a quiet area of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, on the banks of one of the area's largest perennial water holes (which is home to numerous hippos). The lodge shares traversing rights with its neighbours and the game viewing in this area is excellent, with plenty of big five. Chitwa Chitwa welcomes families and children of all ages.
Chitwa Chitwa - The Details
Originally a private retreat of the Brink family, Chitwa Chitwa has been transformed by Charl Brink into an oasis of conservation and harmony. By his dedicated approach and wise land management he hopes to hand on an uncontaminated African paradise to future generations. In 1991 Charl and Maria Brink created Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge, today a jewel of South African hospitality and an emblem of the savanna's most authentic and refined luxury.
Located on the largest perennial lake in the Sabi Sands, Chitwa Chitwa's setting is unique. The individually-decorated suites are spacious and stylish, and display artwork by Maria Brink herself. Each suite has a private plunge pool, bath, indoor and outdoor showers, fireplace, mini-bar and verandah overlooking the water hole, where game can be seen coming to drink.
Chitwa Chitwa welcomes children of all ages, and each suite can accommodate up to two extra beds for children under 12. Two of the suites have inter-leading rooms and are ideal for families. One of these, Chitwa House, can be booked on a private basis with private vehicle and private chef, for meals to be taken in the suite. Chitwa caters for everyone and is suitable for safari
lovers of any age.
