Overlooking the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok rivers, Sala’s Camp is situated right in the heart of the game rich Masai Mara. Not only is the camp brilliantly located but each of the pristine tents has its own private plunge pool, a real luxury that sets this camp apart from the rest.
The added bonus of the camp being found on the confluence is that the game viewing is right on your doorstep. It also offers wonderful views into Tanzania, it is one of the first camps in the Mara to witness the legendary annual migration of wildebeest, which thunders by from June to September each year across the Mara River.
The staff at the camp match the super high standards set by the Safari Collection and are all super friendly. If you are looking for a bit of exercise the team there are only too happy to set up the volleyball net in the dry to semi dry bed of the river.
From the camp the only official activity included are twice daily game drives however it is also possible to do a bit of fishing from the bridge in camp and if the river is dry then a short walk around the perimeter of the camp.
This is definitely one of our favorite camps in the main Masai Mara Reserve.
