The highlights here are the large open plains and the fantastic views of the nearby watering hole. The camp is raised on stilted teak wood platforms and has ten luxury, private rooms surrounding an imposing main area with a large dining room and seating area. A small pool is to the right of the property and all rooms look over the waterhole
Little Makalolo - The Details
Situated on a private concession in the south-eastern section of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.The camp is built on a raised teak platform under thatch, overlooking Samavundhla Pan; set in a stand of teak trees. There are Ten luxury Tents. Lion, large herds of elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino, hyaena, giraffe, sable, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and reedbuck are all found on the concession.
Summer game viewing is excellent with wildebeest, zebra and eland found in abundance on the plains. In winter the waterholes are magnets for elephant and sometimes, up to 1000 elephants come down to drink at each waterhole.
