Best Places To Stay At Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls are one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and rightly so! They can be enjoyed from both Zimbabwe and Zambia, and although we generally suggest that the Zambian side has better views which offer great photographic opportunities, you can cross over the border easily enough and free of charge, which means that you aren't restricted on what you choose to do.
For those adrenaline seekers amongst you, the Zambian side of Victoria Falls offers something you can't pass up. A rock pool that has formed on the very edge of the fall acts as an infinity pool. It has been nick-named 'Devil's Pool' and you can enter the pool and peer over the edge as the water cascades down the cliff face beneath you. The view from the edge is unbelievable and is an extremely exhilarating experience. Do not dear though, guides are available to accompany you to the pool and make sure that your safety is guaranteed. If you are seeking to do this, you must bear in mind that the pool is usually open between mid-August and mid-January because it is the time when the water levels of the Zambezi are at their lowest. From the Zimbabwean side, bungee jumping, micro lighting and white water rafting are available.
The accommodation options on offer on the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls are generally located very near to the falls and are fantastic in terms of luxury and their hospitality. They all offer magnificent views with intimate and private rooms with staff who are willing to fulfil all of your potential needs or requests. Most of the lodges are convenient for visiting local shops, markets and restaurants. There are plenty of choices of accommodation to pick from when visiting the falls in Zimbabwe and below we have listed a few of our favourites:
