Our View

Each of the rooms at Ngong House have been beautifully constructed and looked after over the years the house has been open. As with the other hotels in the area, this is a great place to relax for a couple of nights while exploring the sights in and around Nairobi. Great rooms and fantastic service, it does however lack from having no pool.

Ngong House - The Details

The lovely Ngong House is located in the Karen region, just outside of Nairobi. Each of the smart 8 rooms has been made from scratch from local wood by the owner Paul Verleysen, with 1 to 4 being treehouses.

All of the eight rooms have views out towards the Ngong Hills in the distance (beloved of Karen Blixen herself) and a feeling of real tranquillity presides throughout. The lodge itself is still hosted by Paul and he takes a real pride in the small touches that the hotel can provide.

Ngong House is perfect for a one or two night stay before going off on a Kenyan safari. It really does provide a very peaceful welcome break before your busy safari, in what could have been a simply "dead" night here is a bit of a haven for relaxing and unwinding allowing you to forget the strains of your long haul flight..
