Anabezi's sister Camp, Amanzi is for those travellers who prefer a more rustic feel to their safari camp, then this is definitley the camp for you! Amanzi is situated on the banks of the Zambezi's Ngwenya channel just two kilometers down stream from Anabezi. The name 'Amanzi' means water in the local Tonga language and with the intimate position on the Zambezi proves a very fitting name.

Amanzi - The Details

Amanzi is located deep in the lower Zambezi national park, one the most remote camps in the park and with just 4 tents making it one the most intimate safari experiences in the Lower Zambezi.

You will find a real variation of game year round in this area but especially in the dry season where the game congregates on the river’s edge where it’s common to see the famous site of Elephant crossing the river pausing on the shallow islands on the Zambezi River.

The camp consists of 4 tents each with two double beds on a raised teak deck. The tents have an indoor shower and bathroom, as well as a private sitting area and balcony overlooking the Zambezi.
The main area offers stunning views of the mosaic of islands that are home to a group of majestic elephant bulls and leads down to the pool deck area which sits on the Zambezi River bank.
A wide variety of activities are on offer, including game drives, night drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing, all with knowledgeable and experienced guides. With approximately 500 species of birds in the park, this area is also fantastic for birdwatchers. Wildlife viewing here is best from April to November. Accessible only by light aircraft from Lusaka on a Pro Flight schedule or a charter flight from other destinations in Zambia.
