Located in a very isolated area eep within Mana Pools National Park, Kanga Bush Camp is named after the pan it overlooks. Arguably some of the best game viewing in Mana Pools, the sheer diversity of game that comes to the pan is incredible, with some guests choosing not to leave the main area, but just to sit and watch.
Kanga Bush Camp - The Details
Africa Bush Camps have built an incredible camp in a very isolated area of Mana Pools. The camp has six raised tented chalets that all overlook the game rich pan in front of camp. The main dining area is open and spacious and is where most people spend their time in between safaris, relaxing with a G&T whilst photographing the animals that come down to drink.
For the most adventurous guests, there is 'Kanga Under the Stars' which is comprised of four sleepout platforms a kilometre or so from the camp. Experiencing the bush at night is certainly not something you will forget quickly. Every sound is heightened and the stars are breath-taking. It is an experience certainly not to be missed.
Kanga not only offers day and night safaris, but walking is excellent here as well. On a three night stay, you can do a full-day game drive up to the Zambezi River, however we would only recommend two nights here and combine it with another camp along the Zambezi to make the most of the game viewing there in the early morning and evening.
Mana Pools is well known for its walking safaris and the best time of year is during the dry season when vegetation is at its thinnest and water at its scarcest.
