Located miles from anywhere, Mwaleshi is one of Africa’s most remote camps - an absolute must for discerning safari enthusiasts. The area can be thick with lion which are often met on walking safaris, so expect adrenalin fuelled walks and an attitude to stay out all day. We regard it as one of Africa’s most authentic bush camps; a truly great camp. Stay here for a minimum of 3 nights…or you will regret it.
Unlike the rest of Remote Africa’s locations, Mwaleshi Camp is situated in the North Luangwa National Park on a bend in the Mwaleshi river. The remoteness of the North Luangwa is the camps appeal - you will not see anyone else whilst staying here.
Offering only walking safaris, Mwaleshi is a fabulous destination for experienced safari travellers who are thrilled with the incredibly remote location.
Situated on a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River, ten kilometres from the Luangwa confluence, Mwaleshi has four comfortable double chalets and expert resident guides. It is a simple no frills camp where the emphasis is firmly on the wilderness experience.
A wonderful day trip to the Mwaleshi Falls, upstream of the camp, is a highlight for longer stays, otherwise stupendous walking opportunities abound. Mwaleshi is open from mid-June to the end of October.
