Our View
The sister camp to Lebala, Lagoon camp has a slightly different focus. Located right on the border between Namibia and Botswana, the camp overlooks the Kwando river that flows gently along the border. The game in the area is very good and boating in specialised, double decker boats can be a welcome break from bouncing around in vehicles. With each of the well-appointed tents have great views out onto the river, this is a really great alternative to Lebala and well worth a visit at any time of the year. Kwando Camps truly are a perfect addition to any itinerary in Botswana and provide something a little different.
Our View
Located on the edge of a natural flood land, Lebala camp has slowly become renowned for both its superb guiding and excellent location in the Kwando concession. One of the best things about the Kwando camps, in our opinion, is that they use an extra tracker on game drives, thus increasing the chances of seeing everything around. The camp itself, with spacious and cool tents is very luxurious and a perfect place from which to explore the surrounding areas. Wild dog regularly den in the concession and, with a birding hide on hand, the game viewing can be spectacular.
