Taj Exotica: The DetailFeatured in the Tatler top 100 hotels of 2006, the new Taj Exotica is getting fantastic feedback for its ‘sophisticated-rustic’ style and design. Situated in Mauritius the detached villas are arranged with fine tropical use of thatched outdoor sitting rooms, sexy bathrooms, outdoor showers and perfectly private pools. Interiors are inspired by French Colonial, Indian, African, and Arabic design, all extending over 27 scenic acres, overlooking the calm, clear waters of Tamarin Bay. There are three main choices for accommodation, either a luxury villa, luxury villa suite or one of the two presidential suites. There are options for interconnecting villas, or suites connecting to villas, and the presidential suites accommodate up to four guests. Feedback regarding restuarants and spa has been very good; there are three choices for dining, either the relaxed bar area, or all day beach restaurant, or alternatively the specialty Pan-Asian and Indian restaurant for finer dining, which has been particularly popular. A superb hotel, recently rennovated. Rooms are slightly tired and there is only one pool, though food and service are superb. Touessrok also has access to its own private island which is incredible. Mauritius, East Coast
The One and Only St Geran is yet another of Mauritius's most famous hotels. Often refered to as the Grand Dame of Mauritius this hotel is reassuringly expensive and delivers time and time again. Mauritian influences reign supreme. The resort's relaxed and discrete luxury is complemented by service that is attentive, yet unobtrusive.

This is a great option for all those seeking peace and tranquillity; but also offers more for anyone wanting external restaurants and golfing opportunities as a result of their tie-up with the neighbouring Paradis Hotel & Golf Club, who allow Dinarobin guests access to all facilities, including their 18-hole international golf course, and 4 restaurants.
