Naboisho Camp is a luxurious Asilia Africa offering in a private conservancy next to the famed Masai Mara Game Reserve. This means you benefit from the region’s world class wildlife, but without anyone else. It’s a brilliant blend of safari focus and welcome modcons, with a beautiful pool and views from your canvas room sweeping over the Masai Mara.

The nine tents, including two family suites, are complete with king-sized or twin beds, as well as that luxurious safari indoor and outdoor shower option, a daybed for ample post-activity relaxation, and a balcony where you can soak in those breathtaking views.

The main area is spacious and airy, with soft furnishings and attractive wooden decor, as well as a tempting curved pool which acts as a focal point of the camp. In-room spa treatments are available, and the food is delicious, as is standard with Asilia’s East African lodges.

But it’s not all about the camp: the private nature of the region means Naboisho also affords a fantastic array of bush activities. Guests can enjoy the classic game drive, as well as photographic-focused trips, hot air balloon safaris, atmospheric night drives, and walking safaris with knowledgeable guides.

Rates vary hugely from season to season, with the cheapest per person night costing £491 in the rainy season. In peak season, this price rockets to £1,675 per person per night, with shoulder months offering prices in between. Which you choose depends on your priorities. If escaping to a slice of luxury in the wilderness appeals, with trickier wildlife sightings, then green season might be for you.

For a happy medium, consider shoulder seasons, where wildlife is often fabulous, and you can get luxury for less. Or if you aren’t bothered about pools and solid structures, their sister camp Encounter Mara could be just the ticket.
