Jacks Camp... if only there were more places in Africa that had this kind of atmosphere, dedication and professionalism! To say Jacks is amazing is underselling it, this place is absolutely outstanding but the product is unique and it has to be sold correctly. Many would say this is a connoisseurs product but at the same time it is a product for a first timer…a first timer looking for something different. The guiding here is very well informed and, in our view, is some of the very best in Africa. Overall, the Makgadikgadi is not an explosive destination, it is subtle and sophisticated.

Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti River which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction.
Our View
The latest addition to the Kwando properties portfolio, Nxai Pan Camp is a great little wilderness camp set in the middle of the Nxai Pan National Park to the north-east of the Makgadikgadi. The main lodge is a series of vast rooms looking out onto the plains. While the game viewing can be a little sporadic, with game being best in the green season months from December through until May, it is a private retreat that is well worth visiting at any time.
Our View
Meno a Kwena is a small and intimate lodge that has long been home of the famous David Dugmore! Consisting of 8 simple, yet effective tents the lodge is located on the traditionally dry Boteti River, to the south east of Maun. With great views down to the river bed below, this camp is the perfect place to start or end a trip as a short drive out of Maun and offering very good value for money.
Our View
San Camp is a very special and unique experience; it is not sold for its wildlife focus, (although there is actually quite good game a full days game drive away). San is certainly not a great cat camp but a safari enthusiast can take great pleasure in the general herds and diversity of animals and birds on show, and the guiding, walking and quad biking are superb.
