Okavango Delta - Mixed Camps
The Okavango Delta's mixed camps give you the best of both worlds. You can do the traditional 'mokoro' boating in shallow water and also larger boat safaris providing your camp is located close to the main Okavango channels. Being mixed means that they offer not only boating, but also game driving and walking safaris throughout the year. There are many wet camps that cannot offer game driving when the Okavango is in full flood.
Kwando's Kwara concession, one of the
Wilderness Safaris' Vumbura and Jao Concessions are exceptional reserves with some of the most luxurious camps. Tubu Tree, Kwetsani, Jao and Vumbura Plains are what we define as mixed camps, whereas the remaining camps in these concessions (Little Vumbura and Jacana) are primarily wet camps. &Beyond's Nxabega camp and their new Xudum and Xaranna, Sanctuary Lodges (A&K's) Baines and Stanley's are the other top end camps that we classify as mixed camps; but they suffer from poor quality of game viewing and there is another less expensive lodge that we would recommend over these. Pom Pom, a superb and very well priced camp that offers a range of activities and has a great vibe.

Little Kwara is the sister camp to Kwara itself and again, Kwando have come up with the goods! The main reason we love Kwando is their dedication to the client experience.
Okavango Delta
Kwetsani is a magnificent camp, set high up in the trees on an island that looks over the Northern plains of the Jao flats. We really like this camp as it is extremely spacious, has stunning views and great balance between activities.

Due to the camps location, on the edge of a massive island, Tubu has an advantage over the other camps in the Jao Reserve in that it has easy access to a large island and therefore can easily offer long game drives.
