Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.

Best Luxury Safari Lodges

With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.

Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Best Beach Hotels

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

Best Safari Lodges

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Jabali Ridge - Ruaha
Only recently open this luxurious and small camp (only eight suites) is a great choice for Ruaha

    Jongomero - Ruaha
We had an excellent holiday... We were met at all the points and all accommodation was outstanding...   My most favourite place was Jongomero.  I definitely want to go there again in the dry season

Kasha Boutique Hotel - Zanzibar, East Coast
Kasha is great value for money. Although, it lacks a beach like most destinations in this area, it does compromise this well with great facilities in-house. Our experience suggests it needs a bit of time to develop to the standard of some of its competitors, having opened in 2009 and still seems to have a few issues. The rooms are need more outdoor privacy as they are pretty close together without much vegetation or barrier in between. Your private plunge pool is rather exposed.

Kati Kati Tented Camp - Serengeti, Central
Although this isn’t our preferred location in the Serengeti with regards to getting away from the crowds, Kati Kati does the best it can, given its area. For value for money you can’t really beat it and it is spot on for the migration from April to mid July and November to the beginning of January. It a perfect value for money tented camp and is great for keeping the cost down.

    Kensington Endoro - Ngorongoro Highlands
Kensington Endoro is a lodge in the Karatu area ideally located in between the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara making it an ideal location to stay when visiting these two game areas. The lodge is a permanent structure with good views and clean and comfortable accommodation. We normally prefer the Plantation Lodge or Gibbs Farm due to their value but find this lodge a suitable option as well.

    Kichaka - Ruaha
Kichaka was simply extraordinary - we wished we'd done 7 nights there! Everything was completely prefect. Definitely the highlight. 5* - C Stagg

    Kigelia - Ruaha
Kigelia was lovely too and while we loved it we realised the guiding was a bit mediocre compared to Moli (probably unfair). It was still great though and our guide was good. Excellent food and tents. My wife also got a bit tired of just sitting in the car for 9-10 hours a day but i guess that's par for the course. 4.5*

    Kilindi - Zanzibar, West Coast
Kilindi was very good – we actually rather liked the beach there, which we had been warned wasn’t very good.  The manager of Kilindi is rather creepy, but everything else was perfect – including our amazingly nice and helpful butler, Deo.

    Kimondo - Serengeti, Mobile
Kimondo was amazing, the variety and closeness of wildlife was outstanding, from a pride of lions with cubs to the innumerable thousands of wildebeests interspersed throughout with zebra, antelope and other game, it really was paradise and we were well looked after.  Again the food, staff and accommodation was fantastic.

    Kinasi Lodge - Mafia Island
Kinasi lodge was nice - a small paradise. It was the second time that we went there. The lodge is small and beautiful, placed in a wonderful garden with a swimming pool. We went also saw the whalesharks. Kinasi  Lodge has its own dive centre with a friendly  staff and so diving was perfect, there  were only  few divers not  to much people.
