Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.

Best Luxury Safari Lodges

With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.

Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Best Beach Hotels

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

Best Safari Lodges

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Ngorongoro Serena - Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Serena suffers to a certain extent from its rather obvious styling.  The hotel maintains the high standards set by the other hotels in the Serena chain and this is certainly a very good option for people who do not mind sharing the view.  All in all this is a good hotel despite the crowds and the best option on the Crater rim after the Ngorongoro Crater lodge. There is a 2 night minimum stay at the Ngorongoro Serena.

Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge - Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - Sopa Lodge.... We really expected that Sopa would be too "touristy" and crowded for us but it was not. It was a really nice place. We had a room with a great view of the crater and of course our welcome champagne from you. It doesn't get better than that! The room was great and the bed had a hot water bottle in it to keep us toasty at night. Nice touch. We went down to the Crater early (left at 6:15) so we could see the sun rise on the Crater. Beautiful. Wildlife highlights were 2 black rhino, lions including a grants gazelle kill, cheetah, hippo, black backed jackal, zebra, buffalo. crowned crane, vultures, buzzards, kites, our only African hare, hyenas and one very lucky wart hog that did not end up as dinner for the hyenas.

    Nomad Nduara - Serengeti, Loliondo
The outcome of this heady mix of culture, style, comfort and wilderness, is one of the most amazing camps you will ever see! Certainly the most attractive of the mobile camps working in the Serengeti Loliondo area, Nduara is a breath of fresh air, offering a unique style yet still focusing on what Nomads do best – authentic safari! The guiding is (as always expected from Nomads) exceptional and with only 6 rooms the remoteness, privacy and exclusivity cannot be beaten. Overall, this is a truly superb camp, especially for those wanting to stay away from the crowds and focus on walking safari and the cultures that live alongside the Serengeti. However, the camp is very seasonal for the migration so must be booked with care if the migration is what you are searching for.

Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp - Serengeti, Mobile
Serengeti Safari Camp was the most basic of the accommodations , which is understandable being that it's actually mobile. A couple (from the Isle of Man) with whom we had shared a jeep at the Kuro Camp was disappointed when they first got there. I don't think they understood what a chemical toilet meant. We enjoyed the simplicity of it and found the manager and crew to be especially pleasant. We saw four crossings, one of them lasted for about an hour and a half.

    Oliver's - Tarangire
The Camp manager Ken picked us up at the Tarangire airstrip, and every one else on our flight went to other vehicles, so we had the most amazing personal first safari before going to the camp. We even saw Wild Dogs. Michelle really made us feel welcome and like everything we saw on our drives or walks were important. The staff, from Andrew who looked after us with wake up calls, our room, and evening escorts was so friendly, the rest of the staff were so great... you never told us we would put on weight, food was fantastic! The guides; Mizanga our driver, and Alex our walking guide were not only informative, but had amazing eyes, told us such great stories and history, and we all had a lot of laughs. Highlight included our first day and not being able to return to our tent because a group of elephants were on the trail, or just sitting on our little deck and watching the elephant troops wander across the valley in front of us. - We were really sad to leave our first camp, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back their again... Tarangire is stunning!!!! - D Warfield
