Pack For A Purpose With Africa Odyssey

9th August 2011

Want to do a bit more for local communities when travelling abroad?

For those heading off on an unforgettable safari holiday or a dream Africa honeymoon, Pack For A Purpose is an easy way for holidaymakers visiting Africa to make a big impact on the deprived local schools.  All it takes is some luggage space to bring over much needed pens, educational books, posters, medicines and sports equipment which will be provided to local schools – making a huge impact on the lives of hundreds of African children.

Africa Odyssey are huge supporters of this cause and due to their involvement many more camps have signed up to the scheme.  Camps which participate include:

Botswana: Kanana Camp, Meno a Kwena, Muchenje, Selinda and Zarafa

Kenya: Borana, Kicheche Mara Camp and Mara Plains Camp

Mozambique: Guludo

Namibia: Skeleton Coast Camp

Tanzania: Gibbs Farm, Jongomero, Kigelia, Onsea House, Ras Kutani, Selous Safari Camp, Tent With A View and The Tides

Zambia: Chikoko Tree Camp, Kakuli, Luwi Bush Camp, Mwaleshi, Nkwali, Nsefu, Nsolo, Tafika, Tena Tena and Tok Leya

Zimbabwe: Davisons Camp and Makalolo Plains

Getting involved is easy! Before travelling, follow these four small simple steps to make a BIG difference:

STEP 3 – Choose which supplies you wish to bring. 5 lbs (2.27kg) is recommended
