Our View

Just North of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Buhoma enjoys incredibly easy access to the park and is a great base from which to explore the area and gorilla trek. Sister lodge to Ishsha Wilderness and Baker's Lodge, these guys really know what they are doing and are one of the best operators in Uganda.

Buhoma Lodge - The Details

One of only two lodges set within the bounds of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Buhoma lodge enjoys incredible views across the forest canopy. Each of the 10 chalets have been built with ecology in mind, and are designed to have minimum impact on their surrounding environment. The rooms all have a good sized en-suite bathroom with hot running water and a rain shower. To take advantage of the montane forest views the rooms have huge windows and private sheltered verandas. Hot water bottles and luxury blankets keep you warm on the chillier mountain evenings.

The main area is comfortable and inviting, open air and very spacious. High quality four course meals are served every evening in the restaurant and the well stocked bar will keep you hydrated. Relaxing around the open fireside here is hard to beat after a hard day tracking the mountain gorillas through the forest.
