Set on the pristine waters of the Munyanga river, Mahogany Springs is a great base for Gorilla trecking but is especially good for Bird watching thanks to its position overlooking the river.
Mahogany Springs - The Details
Whilst mountain gorilla trecking is the main activity at Mahogany Springs, as is the case with most other lodges in Bwindi, Mahogany Springs also offers a host of other activities ranging from Bird Watching to planting trees in their grounds to offset your carbon footprint. It is a fantasticly fitting base for all your nature and wildlife adventures.Mahogany Springs offers a unique view over the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as it is set a little further back than some of the other lodges, about 2km from the park gate. This allows for stunning views over the farmlands and Munyanga river and also that little bit of privacy which makes for a really one of a kind stay.
The lodge has a very open and spacious main area which is a very attractive and welcome focal point to the camp. Surrounding the main area sit eight very well designed banana-thatched luxury suites with everything you could wish for in a safari lodge... A stunning lodge in a really stunning location - you can't go wrong here.
