Opening in June 2026, Erebero Hills is set to be one of the most sought-after safari spots in Africa. Asilia is one of our favourite luxury safari companies in Tanzania. Luckily, they have expanded into the rest of east Africa, landing in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda. Erebero provides an uber luxurious base for some of the world’s best primate viewing.

Erebero Hills - The Facts

Tourists travel to Uganda to see chimpanzees in Kibale, and gorillas in Bwindi. Erebero will be located in the northern area in a private location conveniently placed for gorilla trekking in the region.

Erebero Hills is dedicated to conservation, and aims to create a reforestation buffer within 45 acres of the lodge. This ethos seeps into the design, which winds effortlessly into the surrounding forest like a treehouse in the wild.

The eight open plan forest rooms - complete with private decks and glass-fronted interiors - make the most of the leafy views, and the flowing structures pack a whole load of sustainable luxury. King-sized beds act as the focal point of the room, with ensuite bathrooms including free-standing baths, as well as indoor and outdoor showers.

The main area also benefits from a pool with a gorgeous view, while spa treatments will also be available in rooms for that added bit of luxury. The lodge will be open year-round.
