Sanctuary's Gorilla Forest Lodge rebuild has put it arguably on the top step of Uganda's luxury offerings. The lodge has a fabulous location with the local gorilla group literally looking into clients rooms on a number of occasions. Gorilla’s peeping into your rooms cannot be guaranteed to every client, but the guarantee of Sanctuary's excellent service is there. A great lodge to explore the area from and a great lodge for clients who, after a potentially long gorilla trek.

Gorilla Forest Camp - The Details

Gorilla Forest Camp is the only camp located within the UNESCO World heritage Site Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Home to just over half the world's last surviving population of mountain gorillas, Bwindi offers a unique opportunity for the adventurous traveller. Gorilla Forest Camp is the perfect luxurious base for a tracking experience.

The 10 large en suite villas all look out onto the forest are ideal after a day searching for gorillas in the forest. The camp has a spa, bar and dining area all overlooking the rainforest too. Guests can sit around the campfire at night whilst enjoying the crystal clear mountain sky.

It's location in the Northern portion of Bwindi means treks take place in the Buhoma sector with the headquarters a hop, skip and a jump away from the lodge. The extra amenities that have been added with the rebuild mean that guests can enjoy all the amenities one could wish for after a productive trek.
