Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.
Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.
Best Beach Hotels
Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.
Best Safari Lodges
It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Gibbs Farm - Ngorongoro Highlands
Gibbs Farm is located in a beautiful area surrounded by rolling hills and the lodge's own coffee plantation. Although some may argue that the lodge is located too far away from the crater, in reality its location places it within a 30 minute drive from both the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara - meaning that it is an excellent base for safaris to both regions.

Located in the North Male Atoll a short 20-minute speedboat ride from Male International Airport, Gili Lankanfushi is a five star deluxe resort , ideal for honeymooners.Cost: $816
Giraffe Manor - Nairobi
Our stay at Giraffe Manor really made our time in Nairobi; the children were thrilled, and in truth, so were we. We were made to feel so welcome, and the relaxed ‘house party’ feeling was great after all the nights we had spent in hotels. We thought the staff were wonderful, and the fun of feeding the giraffes dispelled all our misgivings about adding extra nights to our trip - A Hope

Gold Zanzibar - Zanzibar, West Coast
Gold Zanzibar is a strange property. Its beach is head and shoulders above anything else on Zanzibar. Enormous, a beautiful white and, most importantly, not affected by the tides, this is Gold Zanzibar’s ace-in-the-hand. But there are some slight oddities that prevent it from realising its full potential. Loud music blares out across the pool and beach area, while the Italian-themed luxury villa has some of the least attractive interior decoration on the island. That said, the normal rooms are large and comfortable, the pool is enormous and the hotel has 5 star amenities.

Gorilla Forest Lodge - Uganda
Our View
Sanctuary Lodge’s Gorilla Forest Lodge, is actually run by the luxury travel company Abercrombie and Kent. The lodge has a fabulous location with the local gorilla group literally looking into clients rooms on a number of occasions. Gorilla’s peeping into your rooms cannot be guaranteed to every client, but the guarantee of A&K’s excellent service is there. A great lodge to explore the area from and a great lodge for clients who, after a potentially long gorilla trek, do not want to face climbing up the hills to Clouds lodge, the only other top end gorilla lodge in the park.Cost: $640
Governors Camp - Masai Mara Reserve
Governors, what can I say. I loved it there. Service was excellent and I loved the hot water bottles in my bed at night. So many animals and our guides were amazing. We so enjoyed the balloon ride and have excellent pictures. - J Cole

Governors Private Camp - Masai Mara Reserve
Our View
Governors Private Camp is a very niche product and so one that we occasionally recommend for clients. The main feature of the camp is that, for a group of 4 or more who are looking for a smaller camp in the Mara, it suits perfectly. Consisting of 6 or more tents, the camp offers a private experience throughout with views out onto the lovely Mara River, exclusive use of the vehicles and guides in camp and access to what must be one of the best areas for game in the whole of Africa….what more can you ask for!Cost: $702
Great Plains Expeditions - Botswana - Selinda
Our View
The new Great Plains Expeditions - Botswana will be beginning new in 2022.Cost: $2,985
Green and Blue - Zanzibar, East Coast
Green & Blue Ocean Beach resort was also excellent. Loved the garden and the flowers, the beach view from the restaurant and infinity pool were all amazing. Food was also excellent and their menu changes everyday and they always have a local dish on the menu, which was fantastic. Enjoyed watching the village life on the beach: the local fishermen bringing back their catch of the day, mending boats, 3-4 cows on the beach being chased by cheerful village children in their colourful dresses, boys playing football, and all different boats passing through. - M Evans
