Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.
Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.
Best Beach Hotels
Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.
Best Safari Lodges
It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Little Oliver's - Tarangire
In the heart of Tarangire National Park, one of the most magnificent places in Africa for game viewing, Little Oliver’s is perfectly situated to make the most of the spectacular wildlife and landscapes this strikingly unspoilt wilderness area has to offer.
Cost: $800
Little Ongava - Etosha
Our View
Little Ongava takes Etosha accommodations to a completely different level. With only three rooms and the efficient organisation of Wilderness safaris, service here is as personal as it gets: massive rooms with every comfort you could think of come complete with private plunge pools, separate lounges, indoor and outdoor showers and outdoor double beds (sala’s). Couple this with the fact that Little Ongava has the areas most impressive views and you have the finest accommodation in Etosha.Cost: $1,508
Little Tubu - Okavango Delta
This is a truly delightful place to spend a few days. The camp is small with only three rooms for visitors but we enjoyed exclusivity being the only people staying. This meant that the game drives were tailored exactly to our interest. The driver, Broken, has an amazing knowledge of game. And in the case of birdlife had an encyclopaedic knowledge not only of the birds, but of their habitat, their habits, their flight movements, their colourings in juvenile conditions. Highlights were seeing two lionesses with their 8 cubs (on several occasions), a leopard post impala kill devouring the remnants and oblivious to our presence. My wife who is a very keen "birder" was amazed by the abundance of birds. I think we saw nearly everything on her wish list - amounting to over 80 species - only failing to bump into a red bishop bird! The staff were friendly, courteous, always helpful. The food was excellent - not too much but of a very high standard of preparation and presentation. As with holidays of this nature, it wasn't cheap! But Little Tubu Tree was definitely value for money. Our room (tent) had the added perk of having a tree house built into an adjacent tree. It was shaded but high up and an excellent place to spend the afternoons between lunch and the evening drive and to observe the various herds on the plain below. We visited in November just at the beginning of the rain season so the camp was not surrounded by water, but the water holes were abundant and with that came plenty of sightings. A thoroughly memorable visit. - M Pepper

Little Vumbura - Okavango Delta
Little Vumbura where we took part in a wild dog hunt, and then later, watched the aftermath of a wild dog kill and a fight with a
scavenging hyena. We had a marvellous guide in Little Vumbura too –
easily the best of the trip.

Liuwa Plains Camp - Liuwa Plains
Our View
This camp has now closed.Described on the Norman Carr Safaris website as ‘simple yet extremely comfortable’, Liuwa Plains rather undersells itself! It is certainly extremely comfortable and although ‘simple’ that’s the last thing that crosses your mind on entering camp, it is a simply stunning bush camp in a fantastic game viewing area.
Cost: $750
Loisaba - Laikipia
Our View
Located on a sheer escarpment that overlooks the Laikipia, it is impossible not to have your breath taken away by the views! This truly is to experience the African sky at its largest. The lodge itself is set on a private cattle ranch that now features wandering oryx and the occasional elephant....but the idea of coming here is to unwind and take in that view. Again, a great accompaniment to the nearby Mara, and with activities such as horse riding, helicopter rides, tennis, a full spa and plenty more, you can be as energised as you like.Cost: $740
Londolozi Founders - Sabi Sands
Our View
Londolozi’s Founders Camp has a spectacular location on the banks of the Sand River. Its fresh bush bohemian feel gives a nice twist to an African safari lodge. It is situated on the Sand River in the very heart of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. This reserve in turn forms part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a vast and growing area, currently covering 6 million acres and incorporating the famous Kruger National Park. This rich, wild wonderland assures exceptional game drives and a true wilderness experience. Breeding herds of elephant and buffalo roam throughout the Londolozi area, while white rhino and lion concentrations are amongst the highest recorded on the African continent.Cost: $1,250
Londolozi Granite - Sabi Sands
Our View
Located in the famous Sabi Sands game reserve, Londolozi Granite Camp is one of the finest game viewing camps throughout South Africa. Famous for the very good leopard viewing at all of the Londolozi properties, Granite is Londolozi’s exclusive and private camp property and one of the Sabi sands most luxurious properties.Cost: $1,900
Londolozi Pioneer - Sabi Sands
Our View
Londolozi’s Pioneer Camp is located in the Londolozi Reserve in the heart of the Sabi Sands. It helps to form part of the Greater Kruger which is located to the West of the Kruger National Park. Pioneer Camp was recently redesigned and now reflects Londolozi's early history of a bygone era. It is the most secluded of Londolozi's camp and although it is one of Londolozi's more pricey camps, the exclusivity and privacy offered certainly makes it worth it.Cost: $1,800
Londolozi Tree - Sabi Sands
I have travelled extensively throughout Africa on many safaris, including to all of the big names, but Londolozi is by far the best place I have ever been to. We stayed at Tree Camp which is absolutely stunning, the rooms are spacious and light, with stunning views, the managers and butlers are all incredibly kind and make you feel part of the family straight away. Our game drives were also incredible; our ranger James was superb, very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Never have we seen more fantastic sightings of leopard, lion and the rest.
