Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.
Best Beach Hotels
Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.
Best Safari Lodges
It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

North Island Okavango is a truly plush new addition to the Okavango Delta. Crucially, while some safari companies can lose their sense of wilderness in favour of luxury, North Island has kept an authentic intrepid feel with its under canvas soundscapes and wooden aesthetic. Plus, the wildlife area is unmatched.
We have just returned from a family holiday in the Seychelles, and wow, it was an Easter to remember! Our extraordinary time on North Island with our children, 7 and 9, will be forever treasured… snorkelling together to find turtles and sharks among the myriad other coloured fish beneath us, buggying between one incredible deserted beach and the next, it was a magnificent family holiday. Best of all, the staff who whisked the children away to have more fun without us… leaving us to enjoy sundowners, siestas and utter peace in serious style. You organised seamless, wildly fun helicopter transfers, and we had the ultimate desert island dream!- A Hope

Deep into the Sabi Sands, Notten's Bush Camp is arguably the best value camp in this part of the Greater Kruger. Boarding on the Mala Mala game reserve, Notten's is perfectly positioned for some outstanding game viewing. Just like the rest of the Sabi Sands, leopard viewing is a highlight here, yet the density of the big five plus cheetah and wild dogs makes staying here an absolute delight.
Nsefu was “rugged Africa" with lots of game including leopards. Following stampeding buffalo that were being hunted by lions at night was an adventure.- W McClenahan
The Norman Carr camps were absolutely fantastic, the guiding especially. Innocent Tembo is reason enough to visit Nsolo on his own. We did a sleep out under mossie nets one night and this must rate as our best ever safari experience.- John. V
Nxai Pan: A good place to start our trip. The tracks we could drive were limited, no off road driving here and we had to be back in camp before dark. Our guide was Tabo. The friendly tracker Obi took us on the little nature walk in the camp and told us many things about the Bushman culture. I felt they could do more with the cultural experience. - R Blom

Nyamatusi Camp and its more family orientated camp Nyamatusi Mahogany are two of the most luxurious camps in Mana Pools National Park. Located in the far Eastern reaches of the National Park, on the banks of the Zambezi, you can either enjoy the endless wonders of Mana Pools on game drive or out walking, or stay back at camp and enjoy its comforts.

Now the One and Only Nyungwe House.Nyungwe Forest Lodge is located in the South West of Rwanda in the Nyungwe Forest National Park. The main draw here is trekking to find and interact with the wild chimps that make this area such a fascinating place to visit, this is one of the few remaining areas of the world where this is possible. There are actually a lot of of other things to do whilst you are at Nyungwe Lodge though including canopy walks and treks through the dense forest to find some almost fairytale waterfalls.
